Center volunteer Roy G. Wood was generally a quiet person who didn’t focus a lot of attention on himself. He volunteered nearly every day, spending most of his time in The Center’s library. Much to the surprise of Center staff, Wood left The Center $1.2 million in his will in 2007. That generous gift from one unassuming volunteer has transformed The Center’s future and made possible our permanent home at 1301 E. Colfax in Denver.
Roy G. Wood is a shining example of how one person can make a huge difference in the lives of many.
Legacy Circle honors those who remember The Center in their estate plans. Philanthropy is critical to our community. An estate gift allows you to support The Center beyond your lifetime to ensure this work continues on for future generations. It’s an opportunity to give back. It’s a chance to make a difference in someone’s life by giving them the opportunity to live authentically.
