Transgender Resources & Support

Transgender Support Groups and Forums at The Center monthly:

1st Thursday -- Transition Support -- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
2nd Thursday- Transgender Chat – transgender open forum 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
3rd Thursday- Transgender Chat – transgender open forum 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
4th Thursday---Transgender Chat – transgender open forum 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
 
Fridays -- FtM Transgender Group -- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This is an open, peer-run and education group for female-born persons whose gender identity or expression is incongruent with their assigned gender. This is a safe, drop-in space for FTM members only. First Friday of every month is open to significant others, friends, families, and allies of transgender people.

3rd Saturdays -- 5 p.m. to 7p.m.
We are starting a new social group – SOFFA (Significant Others, Family, Friends and Allies) – that will meet every third Saturday at 5 p.m. at THERe Bar, 1526 E. Colfax.
 

The Center's Transgender Speakers Bureau
The Center recently formed a speakers bureau of transgender individuals who are available to speak about transgender resources, their own experiences, and best practices in working with the Transgender community. If you are interested in inviting one of our members to speak with your business or organization, please contact cgray@glbtcolorado.org

Gender Identity Center of Colorado

The Gender Identity Center of Colorado at 1151 S Huron in Denver is a nonprofit corporation organized in 1978 and incorporated in June 1980. The organization was formed to provide support to anyone who is gender varient in thier gender identity and expression.

The Gender Identity Center of Colorado is also an informational and educational resource to the community at large. The Gender Identity Center of Colorado is available to anyone, male/ female/other, who can benefit from its services or resources, including spouses, significant others, parents, and siblings.

It Takes A Village

It Takes A Village in Aurora provides support, outreach, help finding resources, groups and HIV prevention/care for the Denver metro transgender community through its TransAction program.

Groups meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1477 Lima Street in Aurora. Dinner is provided. Or you can stop in any weekday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to talk, have a cup of coffee, or find assistance.
