A monthly sponsored meal accompanied by an informational presentation on a subject of interest to adults 50+. Topics are based on community members' needs and interests.

Topic: In May, the lunch and learn topic will be skin cancer. Skin Cancer is by far the most common type of cancer. The skin is the largest organ in the body. It helps keep the body warm, protects the rest of the body from the sun, covers organs inside the body, guards against germs, and helps make vitamin D.

You are invited to attend a presentation by Alvin Chee, Health Systems Manager, Primary Care with the American Cancer Society; learn about the most common kinds of skin cancers, recommended questions to ask your doctor or medical provider about Skin cancer, and learn simple ways to protect yourself from exposure from the elements that cause skin cancer.
