The Center condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack on Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, as well as the murder of two African Americans in Louisville, Kentucky during the past week. Both of these hateful acts were perpetrated in the name of white supremacy. The Center stands in opposition to the trend of nationalism being seen in the United States and believes in the fair and equal treatment of all citizens.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain States Against Hate Coalition, The Center joins with human rights organizations around our state and the world as we denounce racism and anti-Semitism. We mourn with the families, friends and communities of the victims. We urge government officials to pursue justice in both these cases.
