About the Transgender Program

The Center's Transgender Program is a welcoming, affirming space for transgender and gender diverse individuals to get together and build community. There are a number of weekly and monthly social support groups to attend and connect with others.

We offer engaging classes, such as yoga or art workshops, as well as host community discussions and provide fingerprinting services on-site.

Thank you for attending our Pride Month screening of When Men Were Men!

Saga and the Transgender Program collaborated to host special Pride Month film screening of When Men Were Men at The Sie FilmCenter. The special screening of the film was followed by a Q&A panel discussion. Panelists included Izzi Rojas, co-director, writer and actor of the film; Annie, an attorney for the ACLU; Sable Schultz, Manager of Transgender Services at The Center on Colfax; and two Saga program participants, Theo and Frank. The panel was moderated by Viet Nguyen, The Center's Young Adult Manager.

The post-film panel resulted in a meaningful and engaging conversation about the film, transgender and nonbinary representation in media, the current legal battles for LGBTQ+ rights across the United States, and hope for the future.

We are so grateful to everyone who made this event possible – the production team of When Men Were Men, Denver Film and The Sie FilmCenter, all our panelists, and to everyone who attended this special event!
