About Estate Gifts

An estate gift allows you to support The Center beyond your lifetime to ensure this work continues on for future generations.

Roy G. Wood: How One Person's Generous Legacy Can Impact So Many

Roy G. Wood Legacy CircleVolunteer Roy G. Wood was generally a quiet person who didn’t focus a lot of attention on himself while he was helping out around The Center nearly every day, spending most of his time in The Center’s library.

Much to the surprise of Center staff, Roy left The Center $1.2 million in his will when he passed in 2007. That bighearted gift from one unassuming volunteer transformed The Center’s future and made possible our permanent home in our current location.

Roy is a shining example of how one person can make a huge difference in the lives of so many of our community members. The Center will always be grateful for Roy's generosity and for his role in building the affirming space that we are proud to call home.
